Yucky Yucky Yucky You

October 18, 2024

Ewww!

Yucky
Yucky
Yucky
You!

Stomped
On
My
Heart
And
Made
Me
Blue

Yucky
Yucky
Yucky
You!

Ewww!

How
Come
You'll
Never
Be
True?

Yucky
Yucky
Yucky
You!

Ewww!

Every
Thing
I
See
And
Do

Makes
Me
Think
Of
Yucky
You

Yucky
Yucky
Yucky
You!

Ewww!

Napoleon
At
Water
Loo

A
Torn
And
Stinky
Old
Shoe

A
Pile
Of
Poo
Locked
In
The
Loo

Are
Glad
They
Never
Met
You

Ewww!

Yucky
Yucky
Yucky
You!

I'd
Rather
Eat
A
Cork
Screw

Than
Be
With
Yucky
Yucky
You

Ewww!

Yucky
Yucky
Yucky
You!

Social Persistence

October 4, 2024

There's a cop
He grew up in a boys home
He never wants to see
Anybody get hurt
Every day
There's a drop of corruption
Makes it harder and harder
To go back to work

Hay maestra
She's got a big drafty classroom
With torn up old books
And thirty bags of need
Every day
She comes back for more
She tries and she triumphs
And she teaches kids to read

There's a staffer
At a place full of kids
They overwhelm and devour
And energize
Every day
The music and the laughter
Fill and empty her heart
And brighten up her eyes

Wash it by hand and hang it up to dry

October 1, 2024

Wash it by hand
And hang it up to dry
Life is too precious
To spin yourself dry

Walk downtown
To the paper store
You can ask your grandpa
What paper is for

A tiny little phone
Can suck you down to hell
People tear you apart
Like they're ringing a bell

The sun gives us warmth
And energy
It's a beautiful day
Go climb a tree

Best of Creation

September 20, 2024

Happy and laffy
And healthy and whole
Vibrant and lovely
In body and soul

Jump on my shoulders
I'll lift up your world
The best of creation
A kindhearted girl

I'll be your servant
I'll be your clown
Don't ever stop laughing
Don't ever get down

Jump on my shoulders
I'll lift up your world
The best of creation
A kindhearted girl

Horrors and hopeless
Life gets so cold
Warm up my world
With a hand I can hold

Jump on my shoulders
I'll lift up your world
The best of creation
A kindhearted girl

The good thing was I knew I wasn’t good enough for you

September 17, 2024

The good thing was I knew
I wasn't good enough for you
As your love for me grew
There was nothing left to do

I crawled away from your skirt
My digression was overt
Digging deeper in the dirt
I could never stop your hurt

The good thing was I knew
I could never love you true
I didn't have the will to stop
Until our love was on top

Now I'm a silly stupid fool
And my carelessness was cruel
The good thing was I knew
I wasn't good enough for you

Panpsychism

September 8, 2024

Beyond the white snowy silence
And the nothing that is here
The hunger for existence
Overcomes its natural fear

Energy and motion
Eons gurgle into years
Consciousness and matter
Are suddenly clear

Every proton, every planet
Is alive and sincere
You can still hear the music
When it all disappears

Roller Coaster Ego

September 1, 2024

Win the world
Lose it all
Diplomas
Hanging
On the wall
But nothing there
To break your fall

Paint a picture
Live a lie
Dream your own decline
Friends and lovers
Say goodbye
You fall for pride
Every time

Hate and war
Here we go
Roller coaster ego
Climb aboard
Choose your foe
Close your eyes
And lose your soul

But You Don’t Wanna Know Me | The Nymph’s Reply, Part 4

August 28, 2024

You look at my face
But you don't see my mind
All you really want
Is a pretty behind

You wanna hold me
But you don't wanna know me

You're looking for
A dream-come-true
Who's gonna live
Her life for you

You wanna hold me
But you don't wanna know me

All you're gonna do
Is waste my time
Go back to your world
And stay out of mine

You wanna hold me
But you don't wanna know me

You wanna hold me
But you don't wanna know me

You wanna hold me
But you don't wanna know me

Her, a bed, a book and me

August 23, 2024

Bless God that we catch faint glimpses of his brighter Paradise from occasional Heavens here.
Emily Dickinson

Her, a bed, a book and me
I kissed her goodnight
And then I put her to sleep

Her, a bed, a book and me
On occasional nights
Doggie makes three

Her, a bed, a book and me
An extraordinary poem–
McCarthy's Suttree

Her, a bed, a book and me
A universe of love
And eternity

Her, a bed, a book and me
The greatest pleasures
Are actually free

I don’t need to know

August 10, 2024

I don't need to know
every place you've ever been
everything you did
every thought you ever had
ever since you were a kid

I don't need to know
where you learned to walk that way
how you fix your hair
where you got those pretty shoes
the designers that you wear

I don't need to know
the alchemy and mystery
the parts that make the whole
when dandelions and daisies
intoxicate my soul

Is it magic? Is it moonlight
That makes the evening glow?

As long as we're together
I don't need to know
