In my Name

A certain style of manliness is once again being honored and celebrated in our country since Sept. 11. You might say it suddenly emerged from the rubble of the past quarter century, and emerged when a certain kind of man came forth to get our great country out of the fix it was in.

(Prosecuting Bush officials for torture would) set the precedent for turning all future policy disagreements into political or criminal vendettas. That way lies untold bitterness -- and injustice.

Every ten years or so, the United States needs to pick up some small crappy little country and throw it against the wall, just to show the world we mean business

Suck. On. This.

Suck. On. This.

In my Name

Father-fearing cowboy ain’t to blame
He simply made the most of our War Fever
Hundreds thousand murdered in my name

We grapple with the overwhelming shame
And accuse the bloody Great Deceiver
Father-fearing loser ain’t to blame

The land I love will never be the same
Each minute creates a dreary griever
Hundreds thousand murdered in my name

Won’t anybody dare to speak its name?
Who wants to be the final true believer?
Father-fearing coward ain’t to blame

The genie won’t return from whence he came
There is no magic character retriever
Hundreds thousand murdered in my name

No remedy for honor when it’s lame
Too late to put away the bloody cleaver
Father-fearing killer ain’t to blame
Hundreds thousand murdered in my name
